OpenPoly Privacy Policy
Effective July 8, 2026 · applies to the OpenPoly web app and the “OpenPoly Market Context” browser extension
The short version
OpenPoly shows you research and forecasts for prediction markets. The browser extension exists for exactly one thing: telling your own OpenPoly session which Polymarket page you are looking at, so the app can show context for that market. We don’t sell data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t collect anything beyond what is described below.
What the extension collects
- Page addresses on polymarket.com only. While you browse polymarket.com, the extension sends the address (URL) of the page you are viewing to OpenPoly’s own server. It runs on no other website, and it never reads the content of any page.
- An anonymous pairing key. When you visit your OpenPoly terminal, the extension stores a random key in your browser (
chrome.storage.local). This key links the extension to your own OpenPoly session and contains no personal information.
How that data is used
- The URL is used once: to look up the market you’re viewing and display OpenPoly’s context for it (prices, forecasts, news signals) inside your own OpenPoly session.
- The server keeps only the most recent URL per pairing key so the widget can follow along — it is overwritten by the next page you visit and is not kept as a browsing history.
- It is never sold, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used to determine creditworthiness.
What we do not do
- No reading or transmitting page content, cookies, or form data.
- No tracking on any site other than polymarket.com.
- No selling or renting data to anyone, ever.
- No remote code — every script the extension runs ships inside the extension package.
The web app
If you create an OpenPoly account, we store your email address and the data you generate by using the product (watchlists, notes, connected wallet addresses you add yourself). Authentication and data storage are provided by Supabase. We use this data only to run the product for you.
Removing your data
Uninstalling the extension deletes the pairing key from your browser, which orphans the last-viewed URL on the server. To have account data deleted, email us and we’ll remove it.
